Wisemans Ferry

Wisemans Ferry has been around since the early 1800s and was once one of the main routes north out of Sydney.

Today the area is a tourist area with plenty to do in the peaceful little town for anyone.

On the weekends you’ll find motorbikes and vintage cars lined up on the streets while the owners stop off for lunch, in fact it can get pretty busy in town.

There’s plenty of places to eat and relax and if ferrys are your thing you’ll be set with one at either end of town crossing the Hawkesbury River and operating 24/7.

Myself I just find it relaxing being so close to Sydney but far enough away that you barely know it’s just 50km from Pennant Hills.

Anyway I would highly recommend you make at least one visit if you’re close enough to Sydney.  The food at the pub is great, the locals are friendly and the views across the river are amazing.
