In Japanese the title is Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai or 君の膵臓をたべたい
Beginning as a light novel, then become a serialised manga, then a live action movie and finally an anime adapater, I want to Eat Your Pancreas has seen many renditions with the story touching hearts no matter to format.
I won’t give away any of the plot to the story because I think it would be unfair to anyone wanting to watch the movie. I have only watched the live action and anime renditions and never read the novel (I am a terrible reader). The movie and the anime follow a similar story line with more detail in the anime I guess but not sure which is most in line with the novel until I eventually get around to reading it.
This story is sure to make you cry so be sure to pack a loved one and some Kleenex with you when you’re planning on watching it.
It’s a timeless story that is probably very misunderstood by people not familiar with how introverted Japanese people can be but anyone who watched a lot of anime will have no problem following along.
