Darling Harbour

On a warm winters day (18C) I stopped by Darling Harbour in Sydney to take a walk around and take some photos.

Darling Harbour is located at the western side of the city and has many tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, shopping and more.  On a weekend you can expect to see many many people getting around and today was no exception.  The great weather certainly helped.

Here are the views from Pyrmont Bridge which crosses the harbour.

On the city side I made it to ground level and walked around the harbour (which isn’t very far) past all the shops and restaurants.  You might notice Madame Tussauds, the Sydney Aquarium etc in the first photos.

The water feature near Harbourside is shaped like a seashell and the water flows around the ripples down the steps.  It’s pretty cool.

Finally on my way back to Pyrmont I walked past the Maritime Museum which has a number of old ships and a submarine docked outside.  There’s also a lighthouse which was closed, not that I think I could have made it to the top anyway.

And finally the last bit of Sydney Harbour on my walk back to Jones Bay in Pyrmont where the car was parked near The Star Casino.
